There is a website called trello which is for organizing group projects. I don't know much about it yet, but it seems pretty helpful from what I've seen. Just a suggestion though. :)
Thanks for the suggestion! I will be sure to take a look at it 8)
Oh and using this question to give some news, I am utterly and completely faithless in the future of this project. As much fun and creative I think this idea is and as many opportunities I think this could give to a team of people (not only about art and games, but friendships and such) this project relies completely on the participation of a fanbase.
And the fanbase, by far, is not collaborative.
So it just has no ways to go on.
I am still in doubt if I should release the testing thing I made or not. If I fix some things on it I think it could end up as something playable rather than a test program, but I just eh. I doubt people would even download it.
Hard to work on something with a broken kokoro. yny
ok, I might be saying things into the void, so if you are an active follower like this post.
I got a tiny side project to do while I was waiting for submissions here, I may release it together with the first seriguela demo thing.
Technically, submissions for a spoopy are are closed, but if anyone got anything to suggest / show you are always free to do so uvu
I will work with the descriptions idea next, but I am not sure if this will work.
Being serious here, anyone following this blog, any of the 58 followers, plan on submitting something? I will not judge you if you are here just to watch progress, it really is ok. But as it will be useless to open submissions here I will try to find new places to do so, or attract more people idk.
I will fix some stuff on the first map and make a demo that is the first area only (there are like 3 small maps there). I have scripted more than I have made graphic things because scripting takes less time so I will focus more on the graphical part to show progress.
This demo will be pretty pointless becuase you will not be able to test any of the teleporting or transformation features I scripted buT I am basically taking any suggestions that may get people into this haha„,
I may share it only on the skype group or share it here idk yet.
It will take some time to finish things because there are drawn things which need to be remade and making tilesets take a loooot of time and I am entering in that college season of tests, exams, sleepless nights and despair.
it is not really what I wanted for this project but if this get people interested I will do it ;_;
Friend suggested the idea of giving very basic descriptions of maps n such for people to have a base in their contribuitions.
What do you think? I do not think the themes idea is working, does anyone think the description idea may work? Anyone feels like working with the descriptions idea? ヽ( ￣д￣;)ノ
some teasers of how much quality this will be (they are all parts of different dialogues and they may or may not make it to the final stage of this game)
I need to fix a lot of things in this tileset gmgmb
if the spoopy area becomes a thing you will get a super awesome flying device. I believe if I trade the airship for a witchy mow sprite I can make it fully functional… having a flying device is cool to find hidden things on maps ye
also my frien sugartits had a idea for map things I will barf about it later.
I am supposed to get ready for college
This is a collaborative exploration game project!
Reposting to make it appear in the tags (I tagged it as mb/mg because those are more than welcome hue.) If this trial fails I will probably give up or make this a private project uou
Hey, have you ever wanted to make a game, but you have no idea how to code or how to work with engines? PROBLEM SOLVED. If you never did then hi we want you huehue.
Seriguela is an exploration game in which people ~make the maps, music and NPCs~. It is a game made by many. At first I thought it would be nice to let people free, but it did not work, so now I made a theme for people to work with! Each month there will be different themes for new game areas.
This month there will be only one area to be worked on as I am experimentating things. We are in october, so lets get spoopy.
The area themes are:
You can pick one or all of those to make something. You are free to give explanations to why you think your submission matches the theme(s)! Those are not needed but will be considerated.
The submissions start today 02/10/2013, and end at 03/11/2013.
What are areas? A collection of maps.
What is the game about? You will be Mow, this blue thing, you found a way to teleport to another place without knowing how to teleport to your place. So you just hop in different places trying to find your own place.Read the full info here.
Do I need to draw to participate? No! You can bring ideas and suggestions in the forums.
I am an artist, how can I contribuite? The game is made on rpg maker 2003, so you need to make files for rpg2k3 so they can be used in game. You can also make the concept and pair up with someone in the forums to make the sprites, if pixel art is not your thing.
Is there an style to be followed? Not really. Just avoid anti-alising and excessive shading - the flatter the better.
How do I submit something? You will need an account in the forums for this, but the submission guidelines are here.
When it will come out? it juST STARTED
Any questions, doubts or comments, send me an ask!
If you want to support this idea, please reblog! Spreading this is important so people will know about it and we will get submissions. Without submissions, the game project is dead. :(
Anyway if you want to keep up with updates, future demos, concepts and such follow the official blog.
Thanks for the support! uvu
